IJCD was created to address an urgent need: to give young people a voice, a place, and concrete power to act in the face of climate and sustainable development challenges. In a context where the effects of climate change are increasingly felt—particularly in Africa—and where young people are often excluded from decision-making, IJCD has emerged as a bold, inclusive, and civic-minded response.
The idea was simple yet ambitious: to mobilize young people, build their capacities, and transform them into agents of change through concrete actions such as recycling, environmental education, the promotion of renewable energies, and advocacy for climate justice. IJCD was born out of commitment, urgency, and, above all, a conviction: young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow, they are the leaders of today.
At IJCD, we believe that every waste can be transformed into a precious resource and that we can undertake initiatives without harming the environment. currently, we focus on plastic waste while creating sustainable infrastructures for our communities and combating climate change. We also aim to raise awareness and educate local populations about environmental issues.
As our name suggests, in terms of development, we are also involved in activities that promote and strengthen peace for a more prosperous and peaceful Africa.
